Individuals from community-based organizations, academic institutions, public and private funding agencies, and others aligned with AACORN's mission are encouraged to subscribe. We hope this listserv provides a resource for exchanging ideas and sharing knowledge on obesity issues pertinent to African American communities.

We welcome postings on Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and other types of community-academic research partnerships that provide:

• information (e.g. about conferences, funding opportunities, job announcements, or publications relevant to African American obesity research), and
• discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and substantive queries or comments addressing issues relevant to research methodologies, funding strategies and resource sharing.
